Grooming
We are a full service grooming salon that handles varies breeds & styles. We utilize several different types of organic shampoos and conditioners in order to give each individual dog the best bath they can get.
First we like to look at the skin and determine the specific needs of your dog and how to clean him or her optimally. We wash every dog twice. The first wash is designed to get your dog clean where the second wash is designed to actually treat and condition the skin and coat. We will then apply an additional conditioner to the coat if needed. While shampooing we always express the anal glands to ensure that your dogs glands try to never get impacted. We clean the ears and check for wax build up or debris in the ear canal. We when use hand held forced air dryers to rid the moisture from the coat. Certain breads may require for us to carefully brush out to remove any mats and tangles. We trim and if requested dremel your dogs nails.
The Trimming or shaving process is next set and what is different than the bath & nails package. We trim all the fur between the pads of the feet followed by the grooming process. Depending on the breed we will do either clipper work, hand scissoring or a combination of the two.
Our goal is have your dog(s) look and feel their best with our full line of professional grooming services.
We do not want to stress out your dog(s). We want to create a relationship with them so we may notice any changes in their skin such as sores, rashes, or moles. A dog can cannot simply tell us when something is sensitive, tender or painful so we must always be paying attention to the subtle signs of non-verbal language. And finally we want to create a pleasant and healthy experience for dog(s).
If you would like to schedule an appointment or inquire about pricing you can contact us at 713-864-9050 or email us at mila@boneonthebayou.com to schedule an appointment and receive a price. Prior to a bath & nail appointment, your dog(s) must be up-to-date with vaccinations. For grooming & bath/nails we require dogs be current on DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza), Bordatella (Kennel Cough) and Rabies. We will also ask you to fill out our paperwork for dogs that will be using our services. Our paperwork is located here.

Playtime (Doggie Daycare)
For the safety of your dog, puppies must have completed all rounds of juvenile vaccinations prior to attending. We prefer all dogs to be between 5-6 months of age. This gives their immune system the proper time to build up. If you are unsure if your dog has all vaccines we require, please speak with your vet. We require DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza), Bordatella (Kennel Cough) and Rabies. All dogs must go through our temperament test to make sure an open doggie daycare is the right environment for him/her.

We open to the public at 7am and start doggie daycare a little after 8am. Most pups have just had breakfast so we let their stomachs settle. Half days would be considered anything less than 5hrs or less which is offered for $15. Anything after that is would be considered a full day which is offered for $24.
Day Boarding is an alternate option to our daycare program, ideal for dogs who don’t play well in Daycare or who prefer the company of only humans. Although Day Boarding doesn’t involve group playtime, dogs who utilize this service will be let out several times during they day into one of our yards and enjoy one-on-one time with our Dog Attendants.
Bedtime (Sleepover)

We do keep a cancellation list for those interested in staying with us but who did not get a reservation before we filled all of our spaces. Please keep in mind being on our cancellation list does not guarantee your reservation. Reservations made over holidays may require a non-refundable holding deposit.
